Why I Watch David Letterman

This interview is exhibit a, b and c for the case. Letterman is simply unrivaled. He unmasked McCain last night, almost pleading with his friend to explain what happened? It was a stunning performance.
It’s becoming clearer just what damage Sarah Palin has done to the GOP ticket, after first igniting them. But more importantly, her presence has cemented the John McCain of 2008, a man whose respect and brand has plummeted. McCain will now be forever linked to the wingnut fringe of the Republican Party, the polar opposite of where he was in 2000, when independents flocked to his side.
However, to be fair, watching the glimpses of McCain being candid and funny, before Letterman’s damning Palin barrage, especially in light of McCain’s killer performance last night at the Al Smith dinner, you remember what he was before he sold his political soul to the fringe. Hey, but it’s the only way he could get the nomination, right? It’s that McCain people are thinking about when they see the Letterman YouTube. It’s also why the polls will tighten as we get closer to election day.
