Uncommitted Voters Saw Biden As Winner

Joe Biden, father, class act, presidential, who clearly won the debate. “Uncommitted voters” agree:
After the first presidential debate, a similar survey showed that more uncommitted voters identified Barack Obama as the winner. Final numbers from tonight’s poll have yet to come in, but we do have some early results. (These numbers may change as more respondents complete the survey.) They suggest that once again more voters have responded favorably to the Democratic candidate.
Forty-six percent of the uncommitted voters surveyed say Democrat Joe Biden won the debate, compared to 21 percent for Republican Sarah Palin. Thirty-three percent said it was a tie.
But, yo, Sarah, it’s McKiernan, Army General David D. McKiernan. “McClellan” was that other war, you know, the Civil War. Sheesh.
PALIN: Well, first, McClellan did not say definitively the surge principles would not work in Afghanistan. …”
David Brooks on Biden: “When he talked about his family and the death of his wife, that is a moment people remember, what they remember about the debates is the moment when you think you see the person and that was a moment where I thought you saw Joe Biden.”
Remarkably, Sarah Palin didn’t notice. At a moment of human revelation, Mrs. Palin seemed coldly detached, plunging forward with her script. It was creepy.
David Gergen said it was the debate performance of Joe Biden’s life.
Bob Schieffer of CBS: “I must say, I found it a little disconcerting, time and again, Governor Palin would just choose not to answer the question and launch into some dissertation, sometimes talking points, and not really address what Gwen Ifill had asked her.”
Andrea Mitchell agreed: “She didn’t answer the questions. And, in fact, she would say, I want to talk about taxes, which hadn’t even come up.”
The debate last night was a proud moment for O-Biden, as lunch bucket Joe delivered for the team and for Democrats across the country.
The biggest mistake Palin made is that she put herself above her ticket. Not once did she make the case against Barack Obama. She was too busy making the case she wasn’t the disaster Katie Couric revealed she was, which, no doubt, was a relief to the base. I guess beyond anything else she saved herself for 2012. You think I’m kidding?
