McCain Raises Lipstick Outrage with ‘Meltdown’ Call

One thing is clear. The McCain campaign smells blood.

McCain’s ad about “lipstick” and Katie Couric has been removed from
CBS. That’s because it was low, very, very low. Palin continues to
lie about the bridge to nowhere nonsense. But today, the McCain campaign is
focused on their opponents’ missteps, which is the gift that keeps on giving.

Democratic chairwoman, Carol Fowler, matched McCain’ low blows with her own below the belt blast.

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah
Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate ” whose primary
qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

We’ve got Sarah Palin lying about her fantasy bridge reformer creds, but this
is what Democrats come up with to push back?

I’m officially embarrassed.

Lindsay Graham on the media call that ended just a few minutes ago, put together very last minute, is part of the Palin Truth Squad onslaught used to prop up Palin’s candidacy:

“Number one, I know Carol and Don Fowler, and I’m frankly shocked. …
I think it has more to do with that our Democratic colleagues are in a meltdown
over Sarah Palin. … The types of attacks are personal and hateful.”

Over and over again Graham used the word “meltdown.” That’s the theme
of the McCain-Palin campaign today, with a side of “panic.” Graham called Obama out to disavow Fowler’s comments, further adding that it would send a message if they did not.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn added that all of this has a foundation in Obama not picking
a woman vice presidential partner. Blackburn added later in the call that this
was all happening because she was a conservative woman, because those on the
other side are “caught off guard.”

“The attacks on her and her family, the personal attacks… these
are things that conservative women face every day. This is why the “truth
squad” is coming to defend her.”

Republicans making the feminist argument. We’re down the rabbit hole now.
