Somebody tell the Wall Street Journal and the McCain camp who is boasting
a measely
$1 million figure. Poor Johnny, he really is bad at economics.
Sarah Palin’s speech to the convention Wednesday night energized conservatives,
allayed concerns of some nervous party insiders – and inspired excited
Republicans to donate a cool $1 million to the Republican National Committee’s
effort to elect John McCain.
Ben Smith has more, confirming that Obama’s
anti Palin numbers could go as high as $10 million by the time McCain gives
his speech tonight.
Palin’s super extreme views scare the crap out of most Americans, especially
modern women. As jazzed as the wingnuts are about her, there is evidence building
that Obama supporters are rallying even stronger to him. This includes former
Hillary supporters.
Oh, and this hide and seek media ploy with Palin isn’t working either. Tom Brokaw nails it in the video above. It’s about substance, not sexism.
