OPEN MIC MOMENT: Peggy Noonan on Palin, ‘It’s over’

McCain’s Palin pick has staunch conservatives chasing their tails, as they write
and speak on camera in one way. But once the cameras are turned off and the live mics remain, we all finally learn what Republicans are really thinking. Unplugged and uncensored.

Is Palin the most qualified? Peggy Noonan, who I wrote about earlier today, speaks:

“It’s over. … .. Most qualified, no. I think they went for this, excuse me, political
bullshit about narratives. … Every time Republicans do that, because that’s
not where they live and it’s not what they’re good at, they blow it.”

Mike Murphy, one of McCain’s biggest boosters, when McCain was still straight
talking, joins in.

“You know what’s the worst thing about it? The greatest of McCain is
no cynicism….”

Chuck Todd, the political director of the peacock network, gets caught talking
about the Palin pick, with his mic open too, as he responds to Murphy’s comment
above.

“It’s cynical, and as you told me, ‘gimmicky.’ Thanks, guys.”

And that’s a wrap.

A wrap against McCain’s picking Sarah Palin, given by McCain’s own.

So, McCain’s lost women, including HRC voters, along with many regular conservative
Republicans, with independents the next likely group to bolt. Though Republicans will likely hold their noses to vote for him anyway. Hey, but he’s got the fundies!

The selling out of John McCain is
complete. George W. Bush must be so proud.
