A New Low

“Those people are shit — Oh, excuse me … shitting in the White House (at Perot’s numbers).”
After Drudge blasted it, an Obama blog had to pull a post after
breathlessly following Drudge's lead, with other Obama partisans dying to get it out (not to mention Jake Tapper). The whole thing is a fraud.
“What he says is he’s surprised Perot’s numbers
are holding,” said Pennebaker in a brief phone interview. “He says
they must be shi**ing in the White House.”The second expletive, he said, appeared to have been entirely fabricated,
with new audio dubbed onto the original movie. … ..
I've been out all morning, but this started circulating yesterday. After I heard about it I thought it would be left in junk email boxes. It wasn't fit for a post, but post people did and continue to do, anything to target Clinton, false or not.
Doctoring a “War Room” clip so it sounds like a major Clinton supporter
used the “n” word against the people of Indiana? Excavating a 1992
issue in order to move the primary race today?
What I've been put through during this election season is enough, but this
latest event is so beyond the pale that it reveals the depths to which rancid
political motives have plunged, as well as the desperation to stop the primary,
no matter the means. Inspired by headlines that question Obama's electability,
Jeremiah Wright, as well as “Obama's back to the wall,” somebody just
went off the deep end.
The e-mails went like this: Why haven't you reported on the YouTube video?
You reported on Rev. Wright (which hurt my favorite candidate). So you're
hopelessly biased if you don't report on the Youtube.
Oh, but even though it's a Clinton supporter who's being charged with using the “n” word against Indianans, we have conspiracy theorists saying it's bait for Obama supporters.
Oh, good grief.
Clinton is ahead in Indiana, with momentum across the board, with Obama drifting terribly, but someone on the Clinton side released some doctored video of their own from 1992? The insanity of it all.
There is also no way the Obama team would do something so stupid. I can't
say the same for his supporters. They've brought ratf***ing into the 21st century. All you have to do is look at some of the Obama blogs breathlessly following every move of this half-baked smear to see how much they're hoping it will hit Clinton.
It does remind me of the “D-Punjab” incident, in which Obama wasn't
engaged, but for which he had to apologize. Another Obama supporter run amok.
But the diabolical intent and technique that produced the video, now pulled, is straight out of the right-wing play book. They invented
this stuff. Keep that in mind.
In cases like this always ask the obvious: Who benefits?
