Overnight Jabber

24 April 2008 11:11 pm by Taylor Marsh

First there’s Bill Moyers and Jeremiah Wright. A snippet of Friday’s
interview is up on PBS
. Everyone has been teasing it, from one cable outlet
to another. It’s going to be a tough weekend for Barack Obama that won’t end
until late June. With a pastor like this who needs the devil knocking at your
door?

But it’s Nancy that just crossed the Rubicon.

LARRY KING: If you had your power woud you want them to run together?

PELOSI: No

LARRY KING: No?

PELOSI: I don’t think it’s a good idea.

LARRY KING: Not a good idea?

PELOSI: No I don’t think so.

LARRY KING: Because?

PELOSI: I think that first of all the candidate, whoever he or she may be,
should choose his or her own vice presidential candidate. I think that’s appropriate.
That’s where you would see the comfort level not only how to run but how to
govern the country. And there’s plenty of talent to go aroud to draw upon
for a good strong ticket. I’m not one of those who thinks that that’s a good
ticket.

PELOSI:
‘DREAM TICKET’ NOT A GOOD IDEA

No one will ever accuse Nancy Pelosi of being Ms. Unity.

I’ve supported Pelosi through all of her tenure, proud to have the first woman
Speaker of the House. But recently she simply sounds like The Queen Political
Bee intent on keeping any other female from hogging her spotlight. Her performance
on Larry King Live was embarrassing. It reminds me of high school when the top cheerleader is about to be deposed by someone who can do a better jump. Truly beneath what I’d expect of a woman of this stature in the 21st century. Unless women get past this nonsense we’re doomed.

Overnight open thread. See you in the morning.
