Of course, I’m talking about Iraq.

… .. Moqtada al-Sadr, the radical Shi’ite cleric, has called for
1m people to march on Baghdad on Wednesday – the fifth anniversary of
the fall of the capital – when Petraeus and Ryan Crocker, the US ambassador
to Iraq, will be briefing Congress.

A senior Iraqi official who met Petraeus last week said, “It will be
difficult to show that the situation is improving.” Another Iraqi source
described the US general as “furious” that al-Maliki moved against
the militias into Basra without consultation and had to rely on US forces
to bail him out. …

Iran
joined militias in battle for Basra

We’ll likely to here more about Iran from General Petraeus and Mr. Crocker.
However, please keep the following in mind as the week progresses:

… .. The Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq and the Da’wa Party, which back
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, are closer to Iran than the Sadr Movement.
It was al-Maliki’s parliamentary coalition that sought the cease fire by asking
their Iranian patrons to broker it. The main motivation for the attack on
Sadrist neighborhoods in Basra was to ensure that ISCI wins the elections
in that key oil province in October. … .. – Juan

How Cranky McSame sells 100 years of this crap is beyond me. Oh right, he can’t, not even on his Korea plan.
