Obama Slide Continues

Olbermann’s double standard for Clinton and Obama is revealing in the video above. I’m still wondering how he feels being lied to by Senator Obama on Friday, which was made obvious after Obama’s speech. Olbermann’s lack of credibility continues to plummet, mimicking the problems his candidate is having, which deepen with every passing day. The reality is that Obama is finally being vetted, and it’s not going very well.

Obama’s favorable ratings have also fallen below the 50% mark since
the world learned of his former Pastor. This can be seen as part of a larger
trend that began shortly after Obama’s victories in the Wisconsin Primaries.
At that time, just before Hillary Clinton began raising questions about her
competitor, Obama was viewed favorably by 56% of voters nationwide. That had
slipped to 52% just before Pastor Wright’s views became big news and
to 47% just before Obama’s speech.
Two days after the speech, Obama’s
favorables remain at 48%.

… .. Just before the
Pastor Wright story exploded on the scene, Obama reached the 50% level of
support for the first time. He also had an eight-point lead over Clinton.
Now, two days after Obama’s speech in Philadelphia, his advantage over
Clinton is down to three points. However, his numbers among Democrats appear
to have stabilized in the last couple of days.

Barring a big surprise in the next few weeks, the Democratic Presidential
Nomination will be determined by the superdelegates. They will be watching
the polls and other signs carefully to determine whether or not the events
of the past week will have a lasting impact.

In West Virginia, with a long way to go before the primary season, Clinton
leads by 57% to 27%
, with Rasmussen offering this on favorables: Clinton
is viewed favorably by 72% of West Virginia’s Primary Voters, Obama by
53%
. West Virginia voters:

…If Obama is nominated, just 42% of Clinton supporters say they are even
somewhat likely to vote for him against McCain. Eighteen percent (18%) of
Clinton voters say that they are Not Very Likely to vote for Obama and 35%
say they are Not at All Likely to vote for Obama.

On the other hand, if Clinton is nominated, 57% of Obama voters are at least
somewhat likely to vote for the former First Lady. … ..

Oh, and what Jerome said. Seriously, count me in on being sick of being called racist because we dare to make a comment on Wright. The truth is that as Michael Meyers writes today in the LA Times “Obama blew it,” (Oh, and if you’re weighing his right to criticize Obama, Meyers is African American), while many Democrats still don’t get that Wright is about much more than race. It’s about un-American hate speech that just doesn’t fly if you’re trying to get elected president. Someone alert the elites, who seem to be missing this reality by a mile.

Mitrea, the aesthetician on her cigarette break outside Beautyworx Salon and Day Spa in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, said she watched the whole speech. And before the controversy over Wright’s sermons, Mitrea said she was 55 percent for Clinton, 45 percent for Obama. “Now I am 100 percent for Clinton and zero percent for Obama,” Mitrea said. As an immigrant who is now a citizen, Mitrea said she took offense to Wright’s comments that “God Bless America” should be “God damn America.” “I love America,” Mitrea said. “I thank God I am here. I live a free life.”

Or maybe I’m just a “typical white person” that just doesn’t get the anti-American screeds of Obama’s longtime mentor.
