The Page is reporting and I’ve just confirmed that Maggie Williams, a long
time Clinton adviser, is taking over the top job at the Clinton camp. Her role was heightened after Clinton’s Iowa loss. To add, Chris Cilizza has more. I think the proper framing of this is likely that Solis Doyle chose to step down, with Williams moving into the top spot. I’m getting a lot of emails talking about all sorts of scenarios. I’m telling you exactly what I believe from what I’ve learned. However, that won’t stop the weavers.

You can read
Solis Doyle’s message
about her shift in roles at The Page. She stays on
as senior adviser.

Williams is a terrific leader. She’s a smart, dedicated and politically toughened
Clinton adviser, going back to the White House days. She joined Mrs.
Clinton’s staf as media adviser
back in 1992.

Short version: great move for Clinton. Williams will bring new energy, focus
and determined drive at a time when things are getting into the final stages,
which requires uncompromising, even a relentless push to getting the nomination.

Statement from Clinton about Patti Solis Doyle:

Patti Solis Doyle has done an extraordinary job in getting us to this point – within reach of the nomination – and I am enormously grateful for her friendship and her outstanding work. And, as Patti has said, this already has been the longest presidential campaign in history and one that has required enormous sacrifices of everyone and our families. I look forward to her continued advice in the months ahead. Patti and I have worked with Maggie Williams for more than a decade. I am lucky to have Maggie on board and I know she will lead our campaign with great skill towards the nomination.

UPDATE: Good. Steve Clemons reframed his post.
