BREAKING: Mitt Romney to Drop Out updated
Via CNN and Fox “News,” including Mark Halperin, who broke the story, this is going to happen.
“If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win….” – Mitt Romney
Karl Rove said on Fox that he hasn’t heard Romney will make the announcement of CPAC, though he could, but that it is coming. Romney, according to Rove, has also not renewed several vendor contracts. The operative word will be “suspend,” hoping maybe to raise some money to pay back his personal campaign loans.
Romney will make a speech shortly at CPAC, which will air live on Fox.
Bet on it. It’s McCain. Things just got tougher for Democrats.
