One more time, with a cackle.
“Senator ‘I was for it before I was against it’ just endorsed
Senator ‘I was against it before I funded it.’”
Quote compliments of reader PamelaB. For those of you just joining us, she’s talking about Kerry’s endorsement of Obama, in case you missed it.
Clinton’s back in Las Vegas today and I’ll be covering her this morning. This
afternoon I’ll be listening in on and covering a foreign policy discussion with
Valerie Plame Wilson and former ambassador Joesph Wilson. I’ll post when I can
today, so let me know what’s the buzz, because I’m going to be out working most of the day.
A couple of links to get you started, particularly one from John B. Judis on
Hillary Clinton won New Hampshire.
Also, I wanted to say a word about the comment section. First, we’re in the
process of upgrading it, but until that’s finished there will be some snags,
as well as some delays in getting approved. Some of you have noticed that, no
doubt. It’s not that we’re reading and holding comments back, except for the people who have left word bombs, of course. Some have also
likely gotten lost in the shuffle or through moderation error. Thanks for your
patience. We’ll get it ironed out in the near future.
But the big news at late yesterday broke on Jon
Ralston’s blog, that offers the pdf
of the lawsuit filed by some Las Vegas residents and the Nevada State Education
Association against the Democratic Party of Nevada. I’ve met and been at the house of one of the people who is part of the lawsuit (attended a Dina Titus gathering when she ran for governor), so if I can get in touch with him I’ll report more on it. Otherwise, analysis is up to the lawyers. The
Times picked it up:
Nevada’s state teachers union and six Las Vegas area residents filed
a lawsuit late Friday that could make it harder for many members of the state’s
huge hotel workers union to vote in the hotly contested Jan. 19 Democratic
caucus in Nevada.
The 13-page lawsuit in federal district court here comes two days after the 60,000-member Culinary Workers Union Local 226 in Nevada endorsed Senator Barack Obama, a blow to Mrs. Clinton. Mr. Obama addressed the Culinary Union at their hall earlier Friday. … read

UPDATE II: For questions about the Nevada lawsuit, read Jeralyn, who did a serious write up on it today.
