Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas
Blessings to you and yours from me and my wonderful husband, our kittens and their mom, Tigger, our aging black
diva of a cat, Rasha, our dozen plus coi, the birds, as well as our hibernating turtle, who is presently snuggled warmly in one of our upstairs bathroom.
There are a lot of ways to say “Merry Christmas,” but for me, if
I can say it with a film that’s always my first choice.
This particular film, however, “White Christmas,” has a special meaning. It’s about a group of performers, two of which are veterans, doing something for other soldiers, particularly a general who no longer has a place in the service. It’s about troops in wartime. This holiday, as every day, I send a special message to our troops all over the world, but particularly those in Iraq. We are working diligently to bring you home, but to also refocus your mission on Afghanistan and Osama bin Laden. Democrats know you are willing to give your life in service for this country, but we all want your lives and those of your families to be given for a cause that matters not only to Iraqis, but more importantly, to the United States, the country to which you’ve pledged your oath. Blessings to you all.
My husband and I hope all of you enjoy your holiday.
…. and have a blessed Merry Christmas.
