Gore’s Laughing – Rush Isn’t

12 November 2007 5:41 pm by Taylor Marsh

Gore has made his move and it’s not towards a presidential run.

Gore appears utterly comfortable with this drill, but in fact he’s engaging
in some on-the-job training. The recovering politician, environmental activist,
and Nobel laureate is adding another title to his résumé: venture
capitalist. After “a conversation that’s gone on for a year and a half,”
according to Gore, he has decided to join his old pal John Doerr as an active,
hands-on partner at Kleiner Perkins, Silicon Valley’s preeminent venture firm.

Gore’s next act: Planet-saving VC

I never believed he’d make the jump. Instead he’s going to change the world
with a partnership in a new global energy firm. The article above explains it all and is really worth a read.

Speaking of energy, but on the Rush
got duped side
, this is hilarious.
The P.T.
Barnum of wingnut radio
evidently fell for completely fraudulent factoids, which in his eagerness to prove the world is flat he blasted to his audience.

RE: GLOBAL WARMING STUDY HOAX

Yesterday (11/7/07), a “research study” was circulating on the
internet which claimed to have found the “real” reason for global
warming. Even though the hoax was quite elaborate, and the paper looked genuine,
a little digging revealed that the authors, research center, and even the
scientific journal the study was published in, did not exist. I sent an e-mail
to Rush about the issue regarding the hoax, with a copy of the “research
study”. Unfortunately, my very brief note to Rush was not very clear,
and he thought that I was calling global warming a hoax, rather than the study.
Even though Rush has told me not to worry about it, and that “the buck
stops here” with him, I just wanted to apologize to everyone for this
misunderstanding, as I feel that better wording on my part would have prevented
this from happening.

Now we all make mistakes, but falling for flat earth science in the 21st century takes the cake. The truth is that Rush and
his blowhard counterparts continue to be scared of Democratic plans to do something
about climate change and the environment. Because if we harness the people’s
will we can put together economic power that could not only free us from oil
dependency, but spur a 21st century industry engine the likes of the tubes, leaving the wingnut Republicans in the historical idea dust bin.

The laugh’s on Rush.

Meanwhile, Gore’s smiling. He’s left all his detractors in the dust. He’s actually changing the world while the wingnuts spin their web of lies and deceit instead of creating something that can help the world. It’s good to be a Democrat.
