. Obama is celebrating the five year anniversary of a speech he made
against the Iraq war? What about this? Or how about this? I know this will upset some of you, and I’ve said this from the beginning, but I have never been convinced that Mr. Obama would have voted against the 2002 war resolution.

I know I’m going to anger some people in the comments section saying this
— but the focus of the Obama campaign on Obama himself, far more than on
any given issue, remains striking. These aren’t rallies to commemorate the
beginning of the war, for instance, or any event of any consequence in connection
to the war. The main impact of Obama’s speech was on Obama’s future political
career.

But they also stress the extent to which it’s all about him.

If Axelrod & Co. think they’re going to catch Clinton with stunts like
this they need to up their meds.


The New York Democrat registered 43 percent in the latest poll, 23 points more than Obama, a senator from Illinois. In a similar poll conducted in July, only 9 points separated the candidates, with Clinton then at 36 percent and Obama at 27 percent.

“The seven-point change for both candidates is within the poll’s sampling error, but may indicate growing support for Clinton as the primary approaches,” CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said.

Meanwhile, former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards stands at 12 percent in the latest poll, three points higher than July. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is at 6 percentage points, 5 points lower than the last survey from CNN and WMUR. … ..
