This is an invitation to you all. Next week I’m going to take a little break.
It’s not a full holiday, as I’ve got a lot going on and will be doing some work,
but I won’t be blogging and my radio show will have one show today, then I’ll
be back on Tuesday, September 5th. To my readers and listeners, thanks so much
for coming back here every day, many times a day and supporting what I do with
your presence, voice and comments, or just reading what I write. We’re heading
into an exciting season, so I hope you’ll continue to follow the unfolding political drama with me.
BooMan will be doing some posting
next week, so make him feel welcome, and I hope to have other guest bloggers
join in over the fall, but I have an invitation for you. It’s something I’ve never done, but I thought it was worth a try.
If you’ve got a candidate you like in the ‘08 primary race, or if you
have a special topic you are interested in, please post a diary in
“Hot Topics.”
As you can see by this
entry, you can pontificate quite a bit in “Hot
Topics.” Put up something you want to talk about, a diary, and just
maybe it will be picked for the front page. If you do happen to have a candidate
you’re volunteering for or have endorsed fell free to post a diary about what
he or she is doing next week, because I won’t be on ‘08 duty. If you have a
blog of your own, you can even cross-post from it in “Hot
Topics.” Oh, and if the Republicans do something really stupid that you want to get around, I welcome a diary about that, too. Of course, there’s always Iraq. Any diary about the war will be considered for front page attention, of course. If you have a diary or a blog post you’d rather submit personally
for the front page, email it: pob at taylor marsh dot com.
Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be tweaking the site a bit and will have
a new look very soon that I hope you’ll like. It’s just the beginning of some
changes around here that will continue into the fall as we gear up for 2008
and bringing a Democratic president back to the White House. But we’ve all got
a lot to do in the meantime. Whether you’re a reader, a commenter, or someone
active in volunteering, it will take all of us to get the job done. After all,
the Democrats in Washington can’t seem to do it on their own, now can they?
Hope you’ll participate next week in the “Hot Topics” Diary Challenge.
It has the potential to get very interesting, especially if you have a candidate
you want to win in ‘08. Dueling candidate diaries from readers on the front
page, anyone? We shall see what develops. Feel free to kick it off today.
