Sean Hannity is Not a Journalist? updated

Who knew?

“Fox’s in-kind contribution to Republican politicians in the form of
softball coverage is one thing,” said Steve Rendall, senior analyst at
Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, a left-leaning media watchdog group. “But
this is the first time they have crossed this line into fund-raising.”

More independent observers said Hannity’s appearance underscored the blurring
lines between news and advocacy and could be interpreted as a kind of endorsement.

Giuliani’s
Fox-y pal cash flap

With all due respect to Mr. Rendell, is he kidding? Sean Hannity is stop one
for GOP propaganda. He was swiftboat central during the 2004 race and never
misses a chance to slime Democrats, especially if they’re veterans. So raising
money for Rudy is anything but a shock. Sean’s always loved pimping
liars who have trouble with their spouses
. His second biggest thrill is
propping up people who are more myth than anything else. Sean raising money
for Rudy is a natural.

As for journalism, Sean works for Fox “News” and ABC radio, which doesn’t have one single progressive voice on it. He also never uses facts, not ever, especially on radio, which is kind of a keystone to journalism. But if you want to really see Sean separate from any pretense of journalism, you’ve simply got to catch “Hannity’s America.” Anyone questioning his journalistic prowess will be clued in after one viewing. It’s the worst show on cable, though he has finally taken a break from “The Clinton Chapters.” I guess after dredging up Vince Foster’s suicide yet again someone over at Fox even thought he’d jumped the shark. However, his relationship with the toe sucking Dick Morris is still intact.
