Think Progress has a compilation on what went down last night. The vote is
in less than half an hour. It won’t be long before we’ll know if the Republicans
will continue to protect the president
, or actually put the country, the troops
and the missions that lie ahead first.

But regardless of the outcome and despicable speeches like Mr. Lieberman’s, what Senator Reid and the Democrats in the Senate did last night was tremendously important. The truth is now out for all Americans to see. Democrats want change in Iraq and to get our troops out so that we can concentrate on counterterrorism and the rising threat in Afghanistan and the Pakistan border Republicans continue to protect the president and still refuse to respect the American people’s will.

A simple majority to change course. That’s what’s required. We the people demanded it last November.

No convenient propaganda fools us now.
