Swiftboating of Obama Continues

It’s the new conservative pastime. It started with an attack on his
middle name, then quickly morphed into the Fox
“News” madrassa hit. There was also the
screen capture for which CNN issued an apology. There was also Politco.com’s
Malcolm X strafing. Of course, who can forget Roger
Ailes’s Obama = Osama joke? It cost Fox “News” a presidential
debate. We’ve all been pushing back hard.
But yesterday O’Reilly went after Media Matters, one of the biggest organizations
fighting back. Media Matters is going after these attacks, as are the rest of
us, but they’ve got a budget, which is why Bill’s briefs (or is it boxers?) are in such a bunch.
Sean Hannity took aim at Media Matters on his radio show yesterday as well.
Well, O’Reilly also announced yesterday that he and Sean Hannity are working on a piece
together that will be unveiled next Monday. They’re targeting Media Matters
and others who have been successful in pushing back on the wingnut screed machine. Hannity has even singled out me on his show, though he doesn’t know who I am, for my commentary on Joe Lieberman.
The wingnuts are restless and worried about our successes against their swiftboating.
As for Obama, the conservative cartoons and wingnut hit pieces just keep on coming.
