Hannity and Fox to Coulter\’s Rescue

Democrats offered Hillary and Barack in the pew this past Sunday morning. What did
conservatives offer America? Hate speech. It\’s good to be a Democrat today.

CPAC gave Ann Coulter a starring role, coming right after Romney who won the
CPAC straw poll and Ann\’s endorsement. Today, we have an open letter to CPAC asking them to shun the
slurring blonde.

At the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2006, Coulter referred
to Iranians as “ragheads.” She is one of the most prominent women
in the conservative movement; for her to employ such reckless language reinforces
the stereotype that conservatives are racists.

At CPAC 2007 Coulter decided to turn up the volume by referring to John Edwards,
a former U.S. Senator and current Presidential candidate, as a “faggot.”
Such offensive language–and the cavalier attitude that lies behind it–is
intolerable to us. It may be tolerated on liberal websites but not at the
nation’s premier conservative gathering.

CPAC sponsors, the Age of Ann has passed. We, the undersigned, request that
CPAC speaking invitations no longer be extended to Ann Coulter. Her words
and attitude simply do too much damage.

An
Open Letter to CPAC Sponsors and Organizers Regarding Ann Coulter

The focus is on Ann and it\’s getting just too hot for some. That is, for everyone
but Sean Hannity, who has invited Ms. Coulter on the \”Hannity & Colmes\”
tonight, no doubt to plead her case.

By contrast, the Democrats had Hillary Clinton (video
here
) and Barack Obama (video
here
) celebrating Selma, with speeches that were parish crowd pleasers. Clinton
has never looked or sounded more at home. Obama proved why he\’s drawing people
to his side one event at a time. They both were on target and on message. Of
course, being so open about their religiosity will never please some, but I
smiled through both of their speeches, especially when Hillary Clinton replicated
her Arkansas twang, with Obama adding his own linguist twist as well. The spirit
clearly moved them. Conservatives hoped to make them both a good target, which
Rush Limbaugh tried to do but failed. However, when compared to the hate speech of conservatives on
parade at CPAC, Clinton and Obama sounded like singing angels.

Ann Coulter, Tom Tancredo and the likes of Michelle Malkin talking trash about
anyone other than the Republican accepted, while the Democrats were in the pulpit
preaching to the people. The spirit moved the Democrats while the Republicans
seemed filled with demons. Whether you are religious or not, and I am, it was
hard not to be proud of the contrast of the two parties. I was proud of our
people.

The open letter to CPAC sponsors and organizers is small, but it\’s being pushed
as if it were a huge step. It is not, simply because there are many people on
the Republican side who will gladly give her publicity and cover. One of those
people and outlets is Sean Hannity and Fox \”News.\” It shouldn\’t surprise
anyone, because Hannity is the guy who screams to high heaven about hypocrisy while giving cover to people like Coulter and this broad. The woman whose husband had an affair and fathered a child by someone else while they were still married; as well as having supposedly hired Bernard Kerik to spy on him, too. Classic dame. Classic match. No one is more disingenuous or more
self-righteous than Sean Hannity. But if he\’s asking Coulter on Fox tonight
you can bet he\’s got a comparison up his sleeve.

Will it be Hannity rehashing the old Edwards bloggers story? Or will it be Bill Maher?
Not even a supposed \”Democratic strategist,\” Kirsten Powers, when she appeared yesterday on Fox to debate
Coulter vs. Maher, could manage to know the issue, which is why Powers is so dangerous. She operates in a fact free zone on Fox. Maher is not a Democrat, as Powers stipulated yesterday, and he certainly
wouldn\’t be invited to lead a Democratic event. Coulter was queen for a day,
as usual among conservatives.

What will Hannity say in defense of Ann tonight? One never knows, but Democrats, prepare to be slimed.
