Off with their Heads! –updated–
\”This is not a monarchy.\” – Senator Chuck Hagel
Invasion
of the right-wing trolls. See the comments on this
post. It\’s highly amusing. What\’s got their wingnut skivvies in a bunch?
The possibility that the Fairness
Doctrine will make a comeback. Oh, and the fact that I won\’t give their
long winded drivel the time of day is driving them further. Debate what? But they\’re evidently petrified of losing
Rush and Ken doll Sean to those bad ass progressive radio hosts that currently
cannot get on the air. Monopolies are good for Republicans, so anything that
attacks the status quo has their trolls screaming from the rooftops. I\’m not
deleting their comments so you can read them, but please do so with cocktails.
It\’s more fun that way.
One thing I found very interesting today is the lack of interest in Senator
Hillary Clinton\’s presser. No matter where I posted, most people met her with
a collective yawn. At least in the biggest parts of the progressive blogosphere
no one cares.
Just a quick addition, because I saw this comment that is representative of what I\’ve been hearing all day. Let me add… It\’s not about \”droning\” on, but the general lack of interest in hearing anything from Senator Clinton.
does anyone really want to listen to that voice droning like she\’s reading from a cereal box for 4 years????
Oh god! nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! I could not stomach listening to her for fear of falling asleep.
But, as usual she is blowing the way her overpaid and too many consultants tell her to.
Wasn\’t that the point of the weekend?? to give her \’cover\’ – diane lake
That spells trouble for the senator out here. However,
her numbers remain strong outside the blogosphere. Interesting foreshadowing
of a very big battle? There is a lot of negative feelings about her, obviously,
but she didn\’t impress anyone today. However, her red suit was a nice change.
Obviously, it was also a statement. The fashion police can take from that what
they wish. It didn\’t help, frankly, that she appeared with Evan Bayh, who is
likely a very nice guy, but way too soft talking for the current climate. People
want clarity. Clinton talked quite a bit about the challenges we face once again
in Afghanistan, but even though she called for a troop cap in Iraq, what everyone
wanted to hear was language that was more than symbolism about actually stopping
the escalation. Legislation is required and people just don\’t believe she\’ll
do it.
On other topics, prayers
continue, sending strength Jane\’s way.
Here\’s the non-binding text of the Biden-Hagel-Levin Resolution.
…and not to be outdone, Senator Obama will call for a \”phased withdrawal\” of troops. Okay, he\’s got my attention.
Radio podcasts are up will be up soon.
Now, go laugh
at the trolls.
