2006: Don't Let The Door Hit You on the Way Out

As Republicans try to cover their election year ass, our troops are dying at a rate higher than at any time in two years. Nothing compares to the current carnage since we re-took Fallujah. Now it seems that the Kerry-Feingold plan that Harry Reid and just about every other Democrat ignored will become the policy in Iraq once the election is over.
Simply stated, we're out of there, kids. But the credit will go to the Baker-Hamilton commission that is currently assessing the matter. Some GOP poobah will come down from on high and announce a partitioning and we'll be redeploying before John Kerry and Jack Murtha can say WE TOLD YOU SO.

Honest to God, even if you don't like Kerry, how many times does the man have to be proved right before this gets down right infuriating?

Tora Bora? Right.

Fighting terrorism with investigative tools, as well as military? See London. Right again.

After admitting he was wrong in trusting Bush, putting a plan together with Feingold to get out of Iraq. Right a third time.

Besides, we don't need no stinkin' commission to tell us what we've known for years. It's just another cya strategy for an inept commander in chief, Rummy and Cheney, with a little Condi on the side (because a Bush broad has no say in anything), so they can claim they didn't do what Democrats have been suggesting for over a year.

The Republicans couldn't find danger if it blared from a PDB memo.

“How can these guys possibly protect the United States of America
from terrorists when they can't even protect us from Congressman Mark Foley?”

– Senator John Kerry, “Realtime,” with Bill Maher

Right yet again.
