Dear Michelle Malkin and Hot Air –updated–
UPDATE II: Bryan Preston is his name and he is Hot Air. Reader Ryan suggested I make sure everyone knows his name, not just his blog address. This is particularly true since Bryan has proven he is willing to use the troops and edit the truth to prop up his politics, showing he really is a good little Republican.
UPDATE: One of my readers, cujo359, made a great point in the comments. He suggested I explain the exact way and context in which I recorded Clinton's speech. Hillary's speech, which I personally taped, is exactly what happened, with audience reaction in real time. It was not filtered through video to make the sound better, as in Hot Air's clips. I suggest you listen to it. The booing is closer to the end of Hillary's speech and is in exactly the context I outline below. Hot Air and Malkin rigged the audience reaction, which is obvious in my mp3.
We've captured and posted the video of Hillary getting booed as she
asks progressives to support the troops… – Michelle
MalkinPlus, the lefties can’t hear, either. Because Hillary did get booed
when she said we need to support the troops. You fellas can spin it all you
want, but it’s on the tape. Hot

Honest to heaven, they don't call it “Hot Air” for nothing.
It's always good when people who were nowhere near the event they're talking
about make judgments about what went on. It's when the wingnuts earn their nicknames.
But hells bells, Michelle. I get on a plane and pandemonium ensues. Couldn't
you have waited until I got home? I met Maha in D.C., who wrote about your little lying antics, which Hot Air referenced, but you just didn't
get it, so here we are, just you and me babe and it's time to talk.
You know, I don't mind getting off a very long plane ride from D.C. to work,
because I was going to do that anyway. But it's annoying as hell when I come
home to find that you have written a quick little throw off post that connects
to something like Hot Air that is so devoid of facts and truth that it's got
me wondering if you've finally gone completely Coulter on us. Or if you've had
a Laura Ingraham convergence. When you start wearing pastels that don't match
I'll know for sure.
But I'm serious, honey. In your quick one liner, which I offer above, you link
to Hot Air's post that goes through this long harangue to prove some point about progressives during Hillary Clinton's speech at Take Back America, only what
you've both actually done is prove that you're both very wrong. I had it up on the web in an mp3 file before anyone, so you could have saved yourselves the embarrassment, but spreading the truth is never your goal.
Let me start by saying that if you had any morals or conscience you
both would be ashamed for using the troops like this, even if it is to make
a political point. That you are willing to use the troops, to manipulate film
to produce fantasy, so that you can toy with our soldiers for your own benefit
and gratification, not to mention the feeding of your large, over wrought and
well fed egos, is typical of today's Republican Party, but it's still pathetic.
But let me slip you a little fact. If you were employed by any reputable
organization you would be first suspended for your actions, then upon investigation
you would be fired for purposefully and willfully manufacturing a story out
of tape, by cropping and editing portions out so that the final product fit
your version and vision of some truth that doesn't exist in reality. For the
collaboration of such fiction, which betrays the public trust, you both would
be professionally shunned, deservedly so.
Anyway, let's get started. First and foremost, Time magazine does not “have
your back,” Hot Air; nor does the magazine have yours, Michelle. You both
claim involvement, even if Hot Air goes on this butt saving tirade about your
innocence, Michelle. She claims the video with “we,” Hot Air. If you're
going to go off in a rant at least know what you're talking about.
Here's what Hot Air quoted from Time:
But then she came to Iraq. “I do not think it is a smart strategy,â€
she said, “either for the President to continue with his open-ended
commitment, which I think does not put enough pressure on the new Iraqi government,
nor do I think it is smart strategy to set a date
certain.†Members of the crowd yelled, “Why not?â€
There was loud booing.
It was almost impossible to hear Clinton as she spoke over the crowd
to declare, “I do not agree that that is in the best interest
of our troops or our country.†After her speech, as Clinton was walking
along the stage and shaking hands with attendees who had rushed to meet her,
more than a dozen members of the crowd stood and started chanting “Bring
the troops home! Bring the troops home!â€
See the part that's highlighted? Good.
Now, since you're both too dense to get it on your own, let me draw you a picture.
We're going to go re — a — lly slow — ly ….. now.
So, you're looking at the highlighted part, right? Now, let's walk back from
that point.
Now, take a look at the part that's in bold red. See it? That's when the booing
happened. Why did it happen, Hot Air, Michelle?
Go to the other part in red, which is not in bold. See it? Hillary talks about
it not being “smart
strategy to set a date certain” to get out of Iraq. You with
me, kiddies?
What happened next, Michelle? Hot Air? Aw, come on, babe. You can do it. That a girl. Come on. Come on.
THERE WAS LOUD BOOING.
There was “loud booing” after Hillary talked about it not being “smart
strategy to set a date certain” to get out of Iraq.
Now, look at the part in bold again, Michelle. See it? It was
almost impossible to hear Clinton…. WHY? Because of the booing that happened,
why? Because Hillary said — one more time with feeling, just for you, Michelle,
and Hot Air, too — it wouldn't be “smart
strategy to set a date certain” to get out of Iraq.
The booing was so loud Hillary couldn't be heard.
What did Hillary then say AFTER THE BOOING ALREADY STARTED?
That's when she talked about the troops and our country.
But what does Time magazine say? It was almost impossible to hear
Clinton over the booing.
So, come on, Michelle, Hot Air, what would that mean? That the audience never
heard her talk about the troops, because the booing was already what? LOUD.
Get it, babe? Up to speed, Hot Air? (Could that name be any more perfect? They just make it so easy for us, don't they?)
I hope so, because I can't keep doing this every day. Between Ann Coulter and
yourself this is getting ridiculous. At least Laura Ingraham takes breaks to go shopping at the thrift store.
As for Hot Air, keep the comedy coming.
Oh, and one more thing. I know you don't care about what REALLY happened, but
since I was actually there let me enlighten you. I was in the front row and
I could barely hear what she said about the troops and our country. On the video,
the audio is quite a bit louder than it was in the room. Besides, to be honest, after Hillary said it wouldn't be “smart
strategy to set a date certain” to get out of Iraq, she lost the audience. Ask anyone who was actually there, in the room, witnessing the spectacle.
You did this once with Howard Dean's scream and it worked.
I thought Hillary Clinton's speech was awful and the fact is so did the crowd. The booing had nothing to do with her comments about the troops. But your side doesn't care about the troops. You use them to pump up your propaganda, just like you did with Hillary's speech.
Anyway, that's all from the reality based community.
Disrespectfully yours, TM.
