Saturday Rumblings

KOUFAX AWARDS ARE OPEN
Nominated here and here.
GO VOTE!

Several readers emailed me about this one, so compliments of our president
I bring you his latest gaffe. One reader said it's #1,347, but honestly, I've stopped counting.

A parody from India.

“I believe that a prosperous,
democratic Pakistan will be a steadfast partner for America, a peaceful neighbor
for India and a force for freedom and moderation in the Arab world.”

- President George W. Bush

Note to George: Pakistan is a MUSLIM country, sir, not Arab. But what do you
expect for a man who exchanges nukes for mangos?

No wonder Terror Guy backs the Dubai port deal. If he doesn't know the difference
between Arab and Muslim, he likely hasn't figured out the UAE's connection to
9/11 either.

Carla over at Preemptive
Karma
has a very interesting post. Seems one of Duke's bribers may roll
over and sing. She gets it from a very reliable source. It goes well with Howie
Klein's
earlier posting on how all the Republican scandals will hit my adopted
home state California. Howie's the man who let fly on Lieberman recently. You gotta love anyone willing to do that!

Michael
Stickings
reminds us all that “… conservatives generally hate Europe. Especially
France…” with a post that pounds conservatives in all the right ways.

Newt
Gingrich
plays suck up to Rummy, in what is an appalling redux of the damage
Rummy has wrought at the DoD. He even supports the whopper that we didn't need
more troops in Iraq from the start. Newt's argument strains credulity.

Bob
is back from vacation, targeting Katherine Harris and landing lethal blows.
By the way, we missed you, babe. UPDATE: Bob gives me a nod on Koufax. Mine goes back to Bob here.

This next one is the latest round in attack
Air America
posts, which Michelle Malkin always picks up and sends out.
The wingnuts want Air America off the air and they will do anything to pump
up any news of any shift in programming or stations or just downright dirt they
can stir into a storm. It's a huff and we'll puff strategy that keeps them busy
but has never gone anywhere. Republicans are scared to death of progressives
on radio, and they'll do anything they can to slime them.

Mahablog
takes out after Condi the Incompetent, who is a continual source of derision
here.

A post from Steve Soto yesterday caught me cold today: Does
The Cunningham Bribery Case Reach Into The CIA And Porter Goss?

Crooks and Liars has the Loofah man panic piece from Olbermann, which topped
off the week with gusto. What was Bill thinking? File it under things that make
you wish you could push the life rewind button.

And my birth state of Missouri
does it again.

Some religious leaders on Friday blasted a proposed
Missouri House resolution that supports prayer in schools and recognizes a
“Christian God,” saying legislators are pushing Christianity as
a state religion.

“It's an atrocity,” said the Rev. Timothy
L. Carson, senior minister at Webster Groves Christian Church. “Thomas
Jefferson would be rolling in his grave. It's indicative of a movement within
one segment of activist Christianity that wants to dominate the rest with
their views.”

Proposed
House resolution on religion irks some here

FiredUpMissouri
has more. Harry Truman is giving 'em hell from his grave.

And one last thing, please go over to Wampum
and cast your vote for RoxPopuli's
Michelle Malkin “New Youth Craze” parody blog
. It's hilarious.

As always taking suggestions for Saturday rumblings, which has appeared under
other names and less often than I like. I want to get it going again, so suggestions
are welcome and appreciated.
