Deadeye Dick Rumors Begin to Fly

27 February 2006 3:27 pm by Taylor Marsh

Vice President Dick Cheney is expected
to retire within a year. … “The Libby case is far more lethal than the
hunting accident,” another GOP source said. “If the heat gets too
much, Cheney might say his health requires him to leave office. Whatever happens,
the president will make sure it’s handled delicately.” Cheney
seen retiring after midterm elections

Rumors have begun to fly, so which ones are you going to believe?
Don’t forget, we’ve got Golddigger Bobby saying Cheney might actually run in
2008. But that’s before W.’s Dick morphed into Deadeye. No one is saying that
now. Still, it’s kind of nostalgic to remember those days when Deadeye could
bring the country to preemptive war with a single growl on “Meet the Republicans.”

Insight magazine, an arm of the Washington Times (or is that a
leg?), is reporting this latest tidbit. Maybe they’re just trying to stir the
political pot. I must say that many of my readers have weighed in on the retirement
angle, long before this article appeared. As for me, I just don’t know, but
I’m not taking any bets. I’ll believe this one when it happens. But it does
explain why Senator Suck Up is keeping close to the king. Maybe McCain knows
something we don’t know. Now that would be a first. Does that sound mean? Well,
listening to him discuss the Dubai port deal actually worried me yesterday.
Our war hero doesn’t have a clue on how
our ports work
. That’s just down right scary.
