Previously Unpublished Abu Ghraib Photos Released
Remember the man we're going to see today hiding behind Fox “News” is the guy who invented and pushed torture, which has made brand America sink around the world. This is serious business we're talking about with the vice president skulking around the free press to go to a friendly network to get “his story” out. It is more secrecy from a man who does all his work and the president's bidding in secret. We can never lose sight of this fact.

Dick Cheney's torture program in action. |
America braced itself for the next chapter of the Abu Ghraib scandal today after dozens of previously undisclosed images showing US soldiers alongside beaten and sexually humiliated Iraqis were broadcast in Australia. The photographs and videos, which are currently the subject of a legal tug-of-war in America, were shown this morning by Dateline, a current affairs show on the Australian public service broadcaster SBS. The images showed Iraqi prisoners with severe burns and head injuries, a blood-spattered toilet, and one apparently dead man. Naked prisoners are forced to assume humiliating poses, masturbate and are held next to barking dogs. One photograph shows several naked Iraqis in hoods, of whom one has the words “I'm a rapeist” written on this thigh.
