I Can to Eavesdrop!

The Justice Department has opened an investigation
into the leak of classified information about President Bush's secret domestic
spying program, Justice officials said Friday.

The officials, who requested anonymity because of the
sensitivity of the probe, said the inquiry will focus on disclosures to The
New York Times about warrantless surveillance conducted by the National Security
Agency since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Congressional leaders have said they were not briefed
four years ago, when the secret program began, as thoroughly as the administration
has since contended.

Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle said in an
article printed last week on the op-ed page of The Washington Post that Congress
explicitly denied a White House request for war-making authority in the United
States.

Justice
Dept. Probing Domestic Spying Leak

Our petulant president is finally getting an investigation he
believes in.

You can just hear him whining, Who said I can't snoop on anyone
who “lurks and plots and plans and wants
to hurt America again”
? When
I find out who blew the whistle on me…. er… um… I mean, released classified
information that I didn't want the American people to know… er… um… that
I didn't want the world to know…. er… um… You see, 9/11 changed everything…
he-he-he-he.

The leaker may indeed have to pay a heavy price for having blown
the whistle on our power grabbing prez, but he or she did our democracy a favor.

Like Daniel Ellsberg before, during the reign of Terror Guy's
mentor, none other than Richard M. Nixon, some secrets need to be uncovered and
shared with the ones who own this democratic republic: we the people.

So, operation “I can to eavesdrop!” is in full swing,
led by Terror Guy's chief tricky Dick-like dirty tricks lawyer, Alberto “let
them drown by waterboarding” Gonzales. Because our president will not be
denied his due, which he believes is to snoop wherever, whenever and into whatever
he wants. Ah, it's good to be king.
